Marjan Ciglič was born in 1944 in Golnik, Slovenia. He was a member of the editorial board of the "Plamenica" (The Torch) magazine, alongside Marko Pogačnik and Iztok Geister Plamen. He graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana. He co-founded the OHO group. During his activity within the OHO group, he made several films and participated in various projects set by the group's members. His films strongly evoke the free spirit, and some of them are „OU“ (1969 – 70), „Fulya Quanso“ (1967), „Syncopes“ (1967). He worked as a producer and created two films - „Razseljena oseba“ (1982) and „Ječarji“ (1990), as well as the television show "Kugy" and several television dramas. He lives in Naklo.
